Nigahen is a Supernatural horror film. It is about a mysterious dark fluid called 'black oil' which has the ability to make humans behave in irrational ways. If it enters the human brain, it can completely take over, controlling everything that person does. This story is about a young man named Aarav (Ravi Varma) who is an assistant director on a movie. His friends make fun of him for believing in such things such as ghosts and black oil. But soon, Aarav finds himself under attack by the same thing he believes in, and his friends and everyone else who has been attacked by it must band together to save him. Aarav (Ravi Varma) believes that he can hear and feel ghosts even though no one believes him (well, except for the audience). He works as an assistant director in a movie with his friends Rayan (Bala Gopi) and Aravind (Munna). The crew goes to a town called Agra to shoot a song. During the shoot, they encounter an old woman named Radha (Sujatha), who is a tantrik and a powerful witch. She also has access to black oil, which she secretly uses for evil purposes. Aarav's friends make fun of him for his beliefs, but he gets proof later when he hears noises coming from the room where the actors are staying. He goes there and sees one of them sitting in an armchair with his eyes closed and behaving abnormally. He asks them if they have been smoking marijuana, because that's what it looks like. But Radha enters at that moment and says, "It's not marijuana... it's black oil", and then she takes him away. The next day, the crew goes to Gurumaa cave. During this time, Aarav sees Radha coming to their hotel room. He tries to warn his friends but they think he's hallucinating like usual. But the next day, Aarav sees her at their hotel outside of Gurumaa cave and tells them about it; they don't believe him again. But at the same time, he sees her watching them through a hole in the fence. And when he gets close to her, she disappears into thin air. The next day, as they are filming a scene inside the cave, Radha comes in and says that they can't shoot there because it's a sacred place. Aarav asks her what she's doing there to begin with, and she says that she was just passing through. After a few shots, Radha leaves the cave. When the crew goes back to their hotel room, Aarav sees Radha standing outside his window. He runs to the other side of the bed to get away from her, but he finds himself tripped and lying down on his back with no control over his body.
